Comedy magician, with a lot of patter built somewhat on the lines of Jim Morton and Griff, the juggler. Manages to get a lot of laughs. Would hardly call it a strong act. All right for this position. 15 min. in one.

This man keeps up a running-fire of very amusing talk, and whereas his feats of magic are merely a sort of foil for his comedy after the manner of Griff nevertheless, he certainly makes a hit. Has two boys from the street whom he introduces with a good deal of comedy and altogether makes a very acceptable act for an early spot.

15 minutes f.s. Comedy magic. This is an A1 opening act. Started well this afternoon and had laughs all through it. The element of comedy is very strong.

20 min. in one. This act began rather talky and slow, but as soon as the two men did the fake mind-reading work in the audience, the crowd warmed up to them and rewarded them with a good many laughs and a good finish.

(Magician.) 20 minutes in 1. Following Miss Hoffman this man had a large contract on his hands but we billed him rather heavily and led the people to expect something good, and they were not disappointed, especially in his lemon trick. His comedy as well as his clever palming made a decided impression. With Miss Hoffman not on the bill I think this man would be talked about, and he will as it is.
Jarrow
Another tremendous hit. What Williams & Van Alstyne received in the way of applause was given Jarrow in laughter and a tremendous big hand at his finish. No magician, no matter how big, ever scored as strongly in this house as he did today. 21 Min. in One.
The Van Der Koors
Garden 2, close in one. 13 minutes, 3 shows. Two men, magic, one in full dress, the other in eccentric make-up. The magic end of the act is poorly done, rather clumsy and the comedy bad. The act is only fair. Will not do much damage for the balance of the week. We were compelled to add an act on account of Powers & Freed taken sick.

This man always goes very poorly, in this house, and today was no exception. In view of the fact that three a day material is very hard to get and we needed an act it was all righto put in to open the show, and dill time but the act is very bad nevertheless. 16 min. open in three, close in one, (but his whole act can be done in one) 3 shows.

3. Burlesque magic. Has added a dog to hid act – a bull pup. Has a few new tricks. Always presents a very entertaining three show act. Good act.
