She brought on a bull dog, but he refused to perform. She apologized for his ill manners very neatly.
Miss Davies opened by singing the waltz song from "Lo." She also performed several recitations and other songs.
For a second number she apologized again for a recitation. It was "The Woman with the Serpent's Tongue" coldly received. Miss Davies responded to an encore but found it difficult to hold the attention while Vera Berliner played the violin standing in the center aisle of the auditorium, even though she sang some of the chorus.
A beautiful woman, beautifully gowned, Miss Davies displayed ability and combines it with rare grace.
