Edna Aug

Edna Aug holds the title role in Martha Morton's "A Four Leaf Clover," a comedy that was written especially for her. The play showcases Aug's ability to portray ethnic character sketches. Her characters include a young tom-boy, a Dutch girl, a French music hall singer and a boarding school miss. Her songs included "An Incubator Baby" and "The Boarding School." Aug was supported by Gerorge C. Boniface, jr., Claude Brooke, Walter Perkins, Brandon Hurst, Miss Violin Caristedt, Maude Granger and Grace Whitworth.

The large audience called for many encores, to which Miss Aug "graciously" responded.

The burden of the work falls entirely on Miss Aug's shoulders, however she is equal to the task. Her singing voice while not extraordinary, suited the songs and was very enjoyable. Overall, the production was finely staged and costumed richly.
