The act was eight minutes long.
The “Guy” is either a former Chicago blacksmith or prizefighter, according to his manager and the program. He is a large, broad chested man who sings in a powerful baritone. He wears a sack suit and sweater and is clean shaven.

He received applause from all parts of the house. The loudest applause from behind the orchestra pit, however, sounded like planted "boosters".
His voice is pleasant, but it has "more volume than music in it." That said, he does make good use of it.
