On at 2.22, 12 min, full stage. Their first appearance in America. A novelty. Great value for the money. Seven people; five men, a youth and a girl, attired in Scottish costumes. They make their entrance with four men playing bag-pipes, the boy and the girl playing snare-drums, the other man playing the base-drum with two sticks. They play Highland airs for about 3 min, then four of the men do a very good Highland dance. Next comes some great acrobatic work, something on the style of the tricks the Dollar Troupe formerly did. Much to my surprise they did this without the semblance of a miss, notwithstanding the fact that they were practically just off the steamer. At the finish of their 6 min. of acrobatic work, they take their pipes and drums and march off. I think this act will make good everywhere. Our audiences are seemingly delighted with it.
