The duo of Miss Amelia Stone and her husband Mr. Armand Kaliss has grown significantly as they finally take vaudeville seriously in their new opera. The performance was reviewed on the front page of three Chicago dailies at a time when only a grand opera opening “makes” the front page.
Miss Stone, a lovely woman with a beautiful voice and frocked stunningly, appeared beside her husband who provided the comedy and music for the performance. “There can be no discounting the personal charm and vocal accomplishments of of the fair Amelia. She sang with wondrous sweetness, acted with rare charm and alone carried the act to whatever success it attained.”
