At The Ball

Theater:
Following the success of “Mrs. Peckham’s Carouse.” Miss Flo. Irwin offers a similar performance as she once again takes on the role of a “souse” in her latest comedic offering. Playing a twice married and divorced Mrs. Mable Burton, Miss Irwin looks to find herself a new companion. Her only support in the act is provided by Sidney Broughton who plays a former suitor and theatrical manager. After drinking Irwin’s character convinces Broughton’s that he had proposed, leaving the final surprise of the act to reveal that Irwin was shamming and only wanted a theatrical engagement from Broughton. “The ‘gags’ employed have seen service before, and produce but a slight ripple.”
