DeYoung sings the “regulation published songs” with a pleasing voice. She plays the piano and sings for two out of her four songs.
DeYoung is as good as some of the "big time" stars. "Given a couple of exclusive numbers she might pass muster in a number three position on the smaller of the big houses."
