The Kratons
The pantomime part of this act, “Hoopland”, died the awful death. The juggling which is fairly well done, saved them. Entirely too much money. Nine Minutes Full Stage.
Darmody and Coreno
Two men in a club juggling and hoop-rolling specialty, one of them made up straight and the other as a farmer. This is the regulation club juggling act. They handle clubs about as well as any of them, and their hoop-rolling will pass muster. Can safely be classed as a good act. 14 minutes; full stage.
Zara Carman Trio
On at 2:00, 8 minutes full stage. This troupe had a very pretty setting, but the work cannot be called lively, and this afternoon it made misses that marred the entire act.
Kartello Brothers
Went well in evening. Their wrrk [sic] is clean cut and a big variety of evolutions with hoops and clubs are cleverly executed. Both men work straight. Full stage. Time 11 minutes.
Kratons
Well-known hoop rolling act which they have improved much in the last season by the addition of a little pantomime called ‘Hoopland.’ I don’t consider it advisable to bill these people as colored as they have more the appearance Cingalese [sic] and that together with their very neat makeup gives them a decided foreign flavor which I consider advantageous. 18 min, full stage, 3 shows.
