Pat Rooney & Emma Francis

I was just a little disappointed in this act for it seemed to me that they have gone backward instead of advancing. The act is not, of course, a bad act at all; in fact, it is a good one, but at the figure they are getting it seems to me it should go much stronger than it appeared to be this afternoon. Rooney’s eccentric dancing is very clever indeed and the woman is a good dancer and a clever acrobat and the whole act was cordially received, but it somehow failed to meet my expectation, more especially at the price. 11 minutes, open full stage, and close in one.

Frank Gardner and Lottie Vincent

2 shows, 23 min, full stage. First time here for this act, which is one of the best in its particular line that we have ever played. The funny situations all through is decidedly novel, and Gardner’s eccentric dancing and acrobatic tumbling is great. The double dancing at the finish, in which they either jumped or fell over every object on the stage, and then disappeared through a window constitutes one of the best finishes I have ever seen, and the audience wanted them to do it all over again.

Rooney & Francis

Eccentric acrobatic dancing act. Well there is no doubt as to the ability of these two people but I cannot see them at the salary they are getting. The got their greatest applause on their entrance which shows that they are drawing us some money on the strength of their Rogers Brother’s reputation, but I don’t believe it would be advisable to play them again at that salary. They do not make good for it. 10 min, open full stage, about 1-1/2 in one, 2 shows.

Kennedy & Rooney

Eccentric Dancing Duo. This is a very good opening act, and went quite as strong as most opening acts of this kind. Both very good dancers, with fair comedy. A good act and worthy of a better place on the bill. Full stage, close in one. 14 min.

Kennedy & Rooney

This is Mattie Rooney of the original Rooney family and her husband, Clayton Kennedy. They do an eccentric singing, dancing, and piano playing act that is really a very good turn. There is no question but that Mattie Rooney, outside from Pat, is the best member of the Rooney family so far as stage ability is concerned, and her husband has developed into quite a clever eccentric comedian. He is also a very good piano player, and between the two of them they present an act that could gardly [sic] fail to give satisfaction to any audience. 15 min, open full stage and close in one with about 3 minutes.
