Master Nicholas Larkins

Small boy in illustrated songs. This is a local act booked by Mr. Jordan. The boy is a pretty good singer, and the slides used are probably a little better than the average for such acts. It is good for its place on the bill, especially for the money. 13 mins.

Heim Children

18 min. in one. These little people were seen here before and thoroughly enjoyed. They both are talented and held a hard spot very cleverly.

Hattie Glome

Child pianist. 14 minutes, working in two. Can use grand piano in one if necessary. This her debut on the big time. She is the greatest of all child prodigies. Been compelled at various times during the week to respond to several encores in addition to her regular numbers. She would be, without a doubt, (properly advertised), an excellent attraction.

O’bourke and Burnette

Singing and clog dancing act. Their work is fairly good but the set made a hit this afternoon on the strength of the introduction of their little boy, who is about seven years old, in the act. He is very precocious and pleased the audience highly. For their work alone they received very little applause. Whole act including the little boy, 18 min. in on, 3 shows.

Wroe’s Buds

(19 mins.) Annual presentation of Wroe’s Buds (seven local children ranging in age from three to ten years) in songs and dances. Each number was well received and the ensemble finish was a hit.

Leon & Dawn

Two girls in “Kids is Kids” — Open with comedy roller skating Principally a Kid talking act; Received laughs thro act and a fair hand at finish. 12 min in one.

Beban & Mack

Juvenile Entertainers. Two girls, one in ten and the other 12 years old. Pretty smart kids — their act consists of talking, singing and dancing — change of costumes. This act went over with plenty of laughs and hands through act and a big hand at finish. 12 min palace.

H. Bart McHugh’s ‘The Lawn Party’

29 minutes f.s. Special set. A troupe of kids doing the old first part of Mortimer M. Theise’s ‘Wine, Woman and Song’ show. The hit of the act is William J. Dooley’s imitation of Leon Errol’s drunken tango dance from the Follies. A good lively act, with plenty of ginger. Went first-rate.

Alexander Kids

These children to my mind are greatest children performers in the world. If any act of grown-ups could get the amount of laughs and applause that these children do, we would be chasing them up to pay them $700 or $800 a week. They are just as valuable on a bill as Clarke & Hamilton or Montgomery & Moore and decidedly more than Carter DeHaven & Company. I would be the greatest crime against our houses that could be commited [sic] to let them get away from us because of the salary they ask, they could be headlined in any theatre in the world and get away with it. 17 minutes open in one close in two.

The Alexander Kids

Three girls, 8, 6, 3 years old. Full stage, 15 min. Singing, character work, and all kinds of dancing. The most wonderful child act in vaudeville. The act was a big hit. Their second engagement here.
