On account of Miss Mayhew’s previous success here in ‘Coming Thro the Rye’ she great value for us and she is an exceptionally clever woman as well, but even as salaries go now days, I think she is twice paid. My show was dreadfully handicapped by her sketch not making good as expected, leaving me in a hole for a really good full stage act in the big part of the show. However, she went very well indeed altho I am not crazy to play her again at the same price. 12 min. in one, 2 shows.
