The sketch is a prophecy of 1950's society in which women legislators have made it legal for men to have many wives. Ardell depicts the struggles of having seven wives. The wives are played by Florence Maderia, Billie Dauscha, Jean Thomas, Miriam Hapgood, Deryl McCaw, Dorothy Vance and Cecilia Shy.
