Two men were suppose to be on a ship which was lost, however they were on a different excursion and come home ignorant to their wives in tears. They have to build up a string of lies to cover their deception until the ship arrives, late into port. There is little action in the play, mostly just the men standing centre stage while their wifes stand to the sides.
Great deal of fun in the lines and the laughter is frequent.
