Arminta and Burke

A man and a woman. The woman works from the trapeze and the man does comedy from the bounding net. The woman’s best trick is walking across a brass ladder between the uprights but is spoiled by her wearing clamps in the instep of her shoe. It should be done with toe walking alone.

The Casting Dunbars

They dress one of the members as a woman, and few discover the deception. The four men do a “loop the loop” and a double somersault into the net.

The Carson Brothers

Have a black setting and dress in white. Opened their act with a series of poses which were hurt by the arrangement of the lights and the costuming of the men which were not well chosen to show off their muscular development. Their work is slow hand to hand positions.

Kitafuku Troupe

Eight people in the group including two women. The act move rapidly. Two women work at the same time, one of the tight rope and the other doing slow handstands on a pyramid of blocks. The latter is graceful and looks well. Balancing and juggling fill in the rest. They are all elaborately costumed.

George and Georgie

A man and a boy dressed like a girl. Did some acrobatics from the bounding net streched over a billards table. The boy finished with twenty-five consecutive somersaults. The man employs a seltzer bottle. Nothing is original. The man is dressed like a tramp and his makeup is poor. There is no reason why the boy should be dressed as a girl.

Paul Cadieux

Has adopted a very dumpy style of costuming and gives no attention to the minor points of finish.

Three Zolars

Two men and a woman. The woman wears a page suit and helps by carrying a parasol and wrap off the stage and bringing a tray with two cups of water to give the impression the men are in a cafe garden. The perform a number of hand to hand tricks.

Johnson, Davenport and Lorella

Very nearly completed a ‘nip up’ in which a man springs to his feet from lying on his back with no assistance. It is the most difficult acrobatic feat. Has to be given as a finale or an encore but the men are tired at that point.

The Wilsons

Revolving ladder act. Set on the floor instead of the flies because of the size of the stage. No new tricks execept for the “breakaway” at the finish where the couple clings to the pole while the other side of the ladder falls away.

Sisters Macarte

Work on both the tightwire at the trapeze but have very little wire walking which affects the value of the act. Act is not well put together, should only have the aerial end.
