The act was seven minutes long on the full stage. The “American” part of the act’s name seems to separate them from “foreign turns of similar name.” The act consists of three girls and four boys, the fourth of which is made up to look like a convincing girl. This fourth “girl” “is a great twister for shoulder-to-shoulder work, also doing a double that is a sightly feat.” The girls dress well in white.

Maude and Gladys Finney

The two girls, dressed in close-fitting blouses, trunks and tights, go through a series of graceful evolutions under water—picking up fifty coins from the floor, showing in pantomime a sleeping mermaid, and other like feats.

Paulinetti and Piquo

first rate hand balancing and ground tumbling. The pair both work in comedy makeup, depending upon a wire for the comedy. They are using the wire in the same manner as others, and securing a great deal out of it.
