Wordette & Kusel

20 mins. C.D.F. in 3. Man and woman, in a comedy sketch “A Honeymoon in the Catskills.” Here twice before. The sketch improves with age, as does also the work of the man and woman. Went very well, with many laughs. Good three-a-day act.

Emile Surers

12 mins. in one. Blackface coon shouter and storyteller. His talk is not exceptionally good, and his stories are not very funny. Couldn’t arouse much enthusiasm. Works on the lines of Geo. Evans, but is a bad imitation – at least to-day.

Deltorelli & Glissando

15 mins. Pal. in 4. Two men, grotesque musical act. Very good three-a-day act. All of their musical numbers were encored, their violin work receiving prolonged applause. Very good opener.

Rice & Elmer

12 mins. Landscape in 4. Comedy bar act. One man made up as rube, other as Chinaman. Comedy, fair; bar work, fair to good. Not an exceptionally strong two-a-day act. Good three-a-day.

Piccolo Midgets

15 mins. Open in one. Gar. In 3. Four little men, first time here. Same act as they have always presented, which is very good. Went well, and pleased throughout.

Felix & Barry

24 mins. C.D.F. in 3. In a “new sketch.” Work in an interior. The opening of the act for five minutes consists in talking to the orchestra leader, which is not at all interesting to the audience. Then they get to work, after a fashion, but all their work seemed to lack finish. We can agree with Boston’s comment last week, although Felix’s work gets some strong applause in spots.

Jas. Richmond Glenroy

15 mins. in one. He cut out some of his rougher talk and presented a very good monologue for our audience. The audience seemed to appreciate his peculiar style and delivery, and on the whole the act seemed to go very well.

Madge Fox

12 mins. Pal. in 4. Her first songs were fearful – the worst we have ever had in this house. Her act improved as it progressed and the flip-flaps and the shutter dance at the close brought out enough applause to save the act from being an awful fall-down

Martin Bros

14 mins. in one. Straight xylophone playing, received courtesy applause. After two or three numbers, the sameness of the music gets monotonous. Good act to fill in time. Received good hand at the close.

Van Fossen & McCauley

17 mins. in one. Two men, blackface comedians. Some of their talk and comedy is clever. Act is good throughout. Received many laughs. In spots, the act is very funny. Good three-a-day act.
