McMahon and Chappelle’s Pullman Porter Maids

Opening in fron of a drop representing the exterior of a railway station, with a clock in the tower fixed at “nine forty-five,” the girls dressed as Pullman porters, in blackface, are seated in a semicricle, apparently waiting for a dealyed train. There is one change only from the porter uniform to the watermelon suits, for which green stockings are worn throughout by the girls to finally match the underdressing of the last costume.

One act drama with the aid of her company. Her audience was so attentive that while impersonating the chauffeur, a mustache fell off which would have usually caused laughter, passed unnoticed.

The Boston Fadettes

Led by Caroline B. Nichols. A female orchestra. Some of the girls are good looking but some are no longer girls or comely.All the girls go to extra pains to make up for the general effect.

Vesta Victoria

Her mannerisms seem to cast a magnetic spell upon her hearers and is bombarded with applause as a result.

Postal Telegraph Boys

Eight boys and one girl representing a telegraph office. The boys wear postal telegraph uniforms and the girls is the operator. The dancing finished received an encore.

Howard’s Animals

The speaking pony caused comment. The trainer raises his hand to his vest and puts it down to indicate whether the pony should shake its head or paw the ground. There is a new finish with three dogs riding the horses from a pedestal.

Wm. H. Macart and Company

Four people and a dummy baby. Mr. Macart as the village iceman has funny makeup. Dressing like an infant won a storm of laughter.
