"Don't Cry, Frenchy."
Virginia Rankin opened after intermission, but lent no strength to the spot. She struggled through her first number, a sort of semi-classical medley, with considerable vocal straining. Other numbers given in a natural but mild voice could start little, but with "Don't Cry, Frenchy," there was applause because of a plant's singing of the choruses.
