The U. S. Jazz Band, a couple of dozen fresh looking jackies led by an inoffensive and ethical ensign, Alfred J, Moore, knocked the audience galley west with a hit of the sort rarely known. It wasn't the uniforms; it wasn't entirely the jazz, either — it was the general ensemble, the clean cut appearance, theunceasing variety of entertainment that ran itself to a riot of action and syncopation, which scored the triumphant finale.
