GYH 2. First appearance of this French couple, in a dancing act which is rather novel in appearance. They carry two plush wings and a backing with a nickel pedestal on which they give several dancing poses. The act opens with the lady standing on the pedestal in a costume representing a butterfly, which she changes to various colors, after which they present a French waltz, and then close with a French tough Bowery dance. This part of the act was vulgar and suggestive, and I suggested a change tonight, which I think will make the act go better. It is rather novel and picturesque, and I think will make good over the circuit. 11 minutes, in one.
