Singing.
"Take Me Back to Old Virginny."
The applause was fair.
Mme. Doree and her opera singers shot over the grandest grand opera, all dressed according to the Victor catalogs. They sing as well as opera is usually sung outside of opera. The finale, "Take Me Back to Old Virginny," would be better if it remained in the atmosphere instead of the revealing of the Stars and Stripes; that would make it opera singers doing a pop ballad, this way it is a vaudeville act coming down to its own level.
