"The Right Girl" was written by Herbert Hall Winslow. The scene takes place in a dining room, country town, in the home of the Browns. William Brown Jr. (Grant Simpson) is a member of the firm with his father. He and Belle so to the dance. They stay late and she misses her train. They make the best of the night at the home of the Browns. She sleeps on the chair, he on the bed. The next morning she realizes her predicament, reminding him that the neighbors will say. He suggests they get married, and she agrees. She goes into the next room to get fixed up, meanwhile her twin sister, away for years and is now a female drummer, drops in to sell some silk stockings to the Browns. He does not notice the change and thinks it is Dora. Many complications ensue. He finally concludes the twin sister is "The Right Girl" for him.
The sketch kept the audience in a constant uproar.
