This operatic act has four men and four women. They are attired in idealized Florentine costume.
The act earned a very large amount of applause.
They go through their selections in a capable and acceptable way. They are well trained singers and harmonize. While they are all better than the ordinary singer, the Amazonian contralto has an unusual or extraordinary voice. The contralto is also the only member of the troupe with any "life," the other members merely sing. It was quite evident that the contralto set the pace in the ensemble numbers, making them lively.
