Singing.
The next number was Marguerite Farrell, who followed a procession of failures and had a hard time getting things started. A lively girl with rather brisk personality, she stirred the sleepy house to a reasonable activity, restoring circulation to the numb brains and clammy hands. Her songs are rather surefire than inspired. But the girl has some style and go, and proved one of the few bright moments of a generally stupid bill.
