“A Hotel Porter” 17 min. F.S. 2 shows. This is a rough-and-tumble pot-pourri of knock-about comedy somewhat on the old Charley Hoyt a “Bunch of Keys” order. It is entirely incoherent and yet there are so many ludicrous incidents, and such swift acrobatic and comedy work that it keeps up a running fire of laughter even if the fun is a little of a rougher order, and makes a stronger gallery bid than orchestra. Five men carry this act, two of them skillful tumblers and the others taking various characters, hotel porter, proprietor, English guest, the policeman, etc. Not the sort of closer that this house demands, and leaves no distinct impression for originality. However, it passes.
