She did all that was asked of her and put over the hit of the bill, the audience being loath to let her go.
Of her six numbers two were new. One is a satire on the dancing craze, "A Fox Trotter's Chatter" and a number called "If I Don't Lock My Family Up It's the Old Maids' Home for Me." Both are put over in the inimitable Franklin way, and caught on immediately. Bert Green was at the piano, conducting in his usual finished manner.
