His sincerity and “expression of feeling” in a “love song” are characteristic of his apparent devotion to music.
He sings in German and opens with the “Toreador” song, displaying a cultivated baritone voice. The other two songs are quiet and slow.
As a vaudeville card Mr. Wagner will probably be confronted with disappointment unless he changes his repertoire, which is suited only for he concert stage of musicales.
