This acrobatic comedy entitled “The New Chef” was fourteen minutes long.
The setting is a restaurant kitchen with a real working oven. Frank Spissell works with two capable assistants. They perform a series of acrobatic feats with some comedy in between.
The audience was interested and entertained throughout the entire routine and cheered loudly upon its finale.
This is a first rate acrobatic act. If Spissell could shorten the routine to ten or eleven minutes it would speed up the tricks and make them even more impressive. "'The New Chef' will be a number all the managers will want, and not at the end of the show, either."
