The act was fourteen minutes long.
Fitch Cooper (according to the program) is the originator of the musical hand saw. He dresses as a “rube” character and a red wig in the style of Jimmy Barry. He imitates animals and steamboat and train whistles through the use of his voice, a saw, a violin, and a guitar. He does comedy talk throughout.
Although he may not have actually created the musical hand saw, he plays it better than anyone on vaudeville. None of the comedy talk is too bright. His act is neither disappointing nor a qualified success. It is a novelty.
