Sunday she received an amount of applause normally reserved to a trio of singing and dancing comedians.
The straight singer, of mostly operatic selections, makes no bid for approval on any other score, and she does not have to. She has the good sense not to do over three songs, leaving just after having put over solar plexus wallop.
