Cook and Oatman, a classy-looking couple, accepted an encore with their songs. The encore was somewhat suggestive. To speak Yiddish on Delancey street need to be considered sure-fire; now an Irish ballad shot at the Italian 14th street patrons, whether at the Jefferson or the City, is just as certain of returns. Cook and Oatman knew it after their Irish ballad.
