Miss Mayne was dressed in a simple, yet elegant white frock and nifty bonnet.
She performed four songs, three of which were new to the audience. She also sang her hit song "Longing for Someone to Love Me."
"Chicagoans availed themselves of their first opportunity to make this artistic girl one of their very own favorites and her success was unequivocal and abundantly deserved."
Her assistant at the piano played the pieces quite skilfully. It can be assumed that his "mirror monocle" will be "taken over to the copyist before the novelty has reflected the calcium for a week."
