The program describes this as "the counter
G. in the fourth octave," whatever that
may chance to be.
No. 2 was an impersonation
of a "French Country Girl", The third number
was a "Tyrolian Phantasia" in which the
singer went the range of three octaves
(again the program came to the rescue
with information) and the finale was
"Cavaleria Rusticana," in which (that program
again) the singer reached the aerotone [sic]
mentioned above. Mile. Ober came
back with "A Bungalow For Two," sung
in English with a most delightful French
twist.
It would take a good deal of technical
knowledge of 'music to describe it
adequately, but the note, which makes
the finish of the act proper sounds really
impressive. At least the Colonial audience
Monday afternoon thought so, for they
applauded until the Frenchwoman responded
with an American song,
rather agreeably rendered in an extreme
Parisian accent.
