– 24 mins. Special Drop. Man and Woman, in their new sketch “A Gallery Goddess.” Described from New York house last week. For this house the sketch is not nearly as good as “Hester’s Promise.” Didn’t get a hand at the finish of the sketch. Then they started in on another sketch with the same setting. The audience didn’t understand it and neither did we. Act was an awful fall-down. After a speech to the audience stating that the management was short of acts, he said he would deliver a recitation, and then he gave them something on the line of “The Face on the Barroom Floor.” He will change the finish some for to-night’s show.
