The act entitled “The Whistling Ploughboy” was seven minutes long during the Harry Lauder Show. Arthur Astill impersonates a Yorkshire farmer and does a whistling routine. He whistles through his fingers in clear, high tones. One of his tricks includes imitating a chick who has escaped from the roost.
Most of his imitations are superior to those already seen in New York. Although he does not have a big act, he will be able to find work anywhere.
