Al Herman does a monologue and sings. He talks about marriage and repeats the line “I thought I’d die” in a comedic way which gets some laughs. He uses Jim Morton’s bit in which he kids the act ahead. He does a “Sextet” parody for the finish.
Herman should drop Morton's material because it breaks up the act and does not help it along in any way. "Herman has a good voice and can get lyrics over."
