It would make more sense to review the audience rather than Miss Genee. While her dances did not differ from those she has done previously, her remarkable grace, evolution of the terpsichorean art, her unequalled daintiness and wonderful skill should have rewarded her with a large applause. The applause no where resembled what she deserved. The act that Genee and her twelve coryphees are showing is like no other and stands alone in its class. A singing and dancing act received the most applause, leaving the impression that the audience are not willing to accept art of the highest class.
