Miss Gould is the "tryout act" this week at the Corner.
There was a decent reception and applause after her first number.
The lyrics and business of her songs are on par with her good looks. Her voice is not as heavy as some of the other "Lovin-Rag-Roll-Your-Eyes" singers, giving her a pleasing advantage. She is in need of a better repertoire as there is currently no variety. She is not typical of this style of music. She does well with her closing telephone number, suggesting she should try a different field. She is also badly in need of coaching. Her home-made hits have to hang around home to be sure.
