Miss Rochester's deep contralto is much preferable. After registering, Miss Rochester had to come back and spoil it with an encore. She has a way of noting the applause with one of those "Do you really want me to sing again?" glances, shy, coy and modest in intent, all wrong in fact. Miss Rochester isn't the only one who tries to do a little acting in connection with their vaudeville turn that does not call for it.
