Miss D’Arville is handsome, beautifully gowned, gracious and magnetic and unusually fortunate in her song selection.
She gives the drinking song from "The Belle of London Town," a most attractive composition, and also two negro songs- they can scarcely be described by the foolish word "coon"- one of which melodiously descants of the charms of "sweet Miss Mary" and the other assuring a dusky Dilsey that her swain "will be dar" not matter what happens.
Miss D'Arville's voice is as fresh and naturally sweet and appealing as it has ever been, and her increased knowledge of method was clearly demonstrated.
