The act was twenty-one minutes long. Lorraine sings, changes costume several times, and does a “cooch movement.” She wears a yellow gown and a “big black picture hat” with an opera cap for her first number. For her second, she wears a dainty crinoline gown. She then sings a song and does a “cooch” that was very popular. She did a “cooch” again for an encore.
"Daddy Has a Sweetheart and Mother is Her Name"; "Row, Row, Row"
The audience sang along to one of the songs in which "Oh" and "Ah" featured prominently in the lyrics.
The "cooch" went down well at Hammerstein's, but will have to be toned down for other vaudeville theaters. Her clothing is considerably better than any of her competitors, and the women from the audience were eyeing her wardrobe all night. Her clothes will appeal to women and her "cooch" dance will appeal to the men. "Miss Lorraine has a certain drawing power that is worth much more to a vaudeville manager than the amount of her salary."
