The act was six minutes long on the full stage. This dance troupe from “the interior of far away Ceylon” did “slow-moving native dances to the accompaniment of Oriental instruments that jar the sensitive eardrums of ye [sic] American vaudeville audiences.” The group wear turbans and play drums with one hand as they walk around the stage. One man with “some sort of tribal headgear denoting rank, did a foot exercise.”
"The Singhalesers might go for a ballyhoo on a midway, but as a vaudeville feature they do not fit."
