The act was ten minutes long.
Musical Dixon plays divers instruments, the concertina (from which he gets the largest result), and a “skeleton xylophone” in which he works the legs and arms through a foot attachment. He also uses prop pieces of food to play a song. He wears eccentric attire.
Dixon is a big hit with the pop audiences.
The eccentric attire is not necessary because the comedy in the act would survive without it. "Dixon is too good a musician to be wasting his time with 'bits' that have long ago outlived their usefulness."
