For some unaccountable reason he didn’t go very well until he introduced the orange catching stunt, which brought a lot of laughter and rounded him out in nice shape. There were quite a number of laughs, however, through the earlier part of the act and the house seemed to be interested or puzzled. I couldn’t tell which. I don’t believe that the audience here really understands the work of this man, for he is undoubtedly very clever and should prove of interest to any intelligent person. He got along very well, however, and was by no means a disappointment in any sense. Finished moderately strong. 22 minutes, palace in 3.
