Francelias

Belgian Hercules. 16 min. F.S. 2 shows. On at 9:14. This act was a surprise in novelty. We expected to see an ordinary strong-man act and in reality it turned out to be very show-shape and at the same time, artistic and spectacular in every particular. Man works in Roman gladiator costume, something like Sandow, and is one of the most powerful and at the same time skillful performers we have ever had here. The woman works straight and is a handicap to the act, not a help. A good comedian as a helper would double the value of the act. Francelias has a lot of very showy paraphernalia such as carapules, torpedos, cannon-balls, etc. His work appears to be genuine and professional in every particular. There was good applause throughout, with a big close. One of the best acts of the kind in Vaudeville. He went down the line after the first performance.
