Belle Baker is the topliner, more charming than ever, and with a vocal repertoire that outshines all its predecessors. With Miss Baker it's chiefly a matter of song, and in this specialty she has the goods. Beginning with an introductory number "I'm a Baker," she ran through comedy numbers and a medley but the ballad in the act that stood out conspicuously as one of the best she has ever introduced. "Good Bye Frenchy" is probably the title. It's made of a sure-fire lyric, backed by a melody that cannot miss. There was never any question of her right to the billing honors and at the conclusion of her time she had a mortgage on the evening's honors.
