The duo were obliged to follow The Black Brothers, who opened the show. The Blacks also used a piano in their turn.
The pianist played "I Wonder Who's Kissing Her Now," with variations. The variations made the success. The other young man sang. His seemed to consider his strength was in the Irish songs.
The song is a rather simple expedient at best, and the young man selected the most popular selections for the variations. In trying for "The Violin Rag," the latest of the "coon" numbers which usually carried success to the singer, the young man did very little.
