Four songs, each with three or more verses, kept Alwyn performing long after the audience had decided there was really nothing to the act.
Alwyn will do nicely for an English program where only one song is required. She looks fine, and it is a pleasure to watch her sing a Scotch song in her Kilties. But, after one song it is simply a repeat. In the parlor Jean should be a big hit singing a Scotch song. She has a very good idea of the dialect which covers up her lack of voice. Good looks will go far on stage, it certainly gave the singer attention which she could not have secured otherwise. She would do much better with a male partner in a sketch structure allowing her to sing one Scotch song. As a single, she does not stand a chance.
