Boothby & Everdean

17 min. A comedy singing number in which the woman does the singing, the man accompanying her at the piano. A “movie” bit and a burlesque song-sheet number are featured and brought the act warm recognition. Finished very well.

The Four Meyakos

A Jap offering two girls one boy work in special set full stage. Singing, violin playing and dancing. Popular numbers. 15 min. Went good.

Eli’s Revue

“The Black and White Revue.” A new act. Four girls three men two blackface. Singing comedy dancing and some wonderful toe dancing by La Chesta. The act is very good with good singing dancing etc. 20 min. Went good.

Hermine Shone & Co.

Another great possibility gone wrong both in the writing and playing. I don’t mean to imply that it is not a good act – from the audience’s standpoint – although a great many of them got nervous and “wiggly” after the thing was about half through. It plays up strong, however, at the finish with a strong appeal to Motherhood which gets a good hand. 30 minutes full stage.

The Leightons

I can’t for the life of me understand why so many people have said that this is a new act, or a better act than the one they did last season. As a matter of fact, it is exactly the same act with the change of a couple of songs and the introduction of a very short Hawaiian dance by one of the men, and the elimination of some good dancing by one of the three former members. I think the payment of an increase of salary to these people this year is one of the biggest impositions we have had. I am saying this in spite of the fact that it is a good act and was quite well received. 15 minutes in one.

Gibson & Guinan

There is material here for a very good act. I don’t think it is particularly well done, and the song they introduce In One at the finish of the act is not only superfluous but suggestive, and after two or three changes of lines, we practically eliminated the whole songs. The act was fairly well received. 18 minutes opens full stage. Closes in one.

Charles Ahearn and his Cycling

This act isca [sic] very funny one – and went big with the audience – They ride all manner of wheels – they worked under a disadvantage on account of our stage being rather small, but did the best they could and surely got us some business. 10 min.

Greater City Four

In an act styled “Mirthful and Harmonious Comedians” four men; straight; sing comedy and harmony songs. Their singing was fair; comedy, rotten; their dress was rather shabby – no style about them whatever. 10 min in street; went fair.

“The Stampede Riders”

16 min. A big flash act with five men and a woman, opening with some comedy talk and a trick mule. They go into an exhibition of fancy roping and finish with a lively bit of broncho-riding. In the closing position they held the audience interested and won a big hand.

Nan Halperin

26 min. This girl undoubtedly classes as one of the very best  single acts vaudeville has discovered in years. There is so much improvement over last year that she hardly seems the same person. She has the best lot of songs heard in some time, gets all there is to be had out of them and her rapid costume changes from one beautiful dress to another made a big hit with the audience. She was a tremendous hit as she should be on any bill.
